Anastasia Drosou, a graduate of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus (2024), is a member of the staff of the Laboratory for the Study and Conservation of Ancient and Modern Cultural Properties – CULTLAB. At the same time, she provides secretarial support to the “Educational Programme for the development of skills related to handicrafts”, implemented by the KEDIVIM of the University of West Attica, and to which the members of CULTLAB provide administrative, educational and technical support.
She carried out her internship at the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Skopje, specifically at the Office of Public Diplomacy, where she was involved in the daily writing of informative overviews on the current affairs of North Macedonia and the promotion of cultural relations and various educational programmes between the two countries. In the future she is interested in working in the field of Public and Cultural Diplomacy as a way of promoting and enhancing the positive image of the country abroad, as Greece has the privilege of having a significant comparative advantage in the field of culture.
Furthermore, she has previously worked in a secretarial position in a consultancy firm, as well as in a private coaching school. At the same time, she gave private lessons in Ancient Greek, Literature, Modern Greek Language, History and Ancient Greek Texts from Translation.
One of her favorite interests is learning foreign languages. She has excellent knowledge of English (C2 Certificate of the University of Michigan, 2016), good knowledge of French (DELF B2 Certificate, 2017) and German (ÖSD B2 Certificate, 2022), and is currently engaged in learning Chinese. Finally, she has contributed to the translation of 3 books from English to Greek: “Farrell Joyce, Java Programming, 2nd edition”, “Carlos Coronel, Steven Morris, Database Systems”, and “Norman Dunbar, Arduino Software Internals”.
