Vasiliki Kokla graduated from the Dept. of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, TEI-A and from the Studies in European Civitalization, H.O.U. She holds a PhD (Image-based analysis of inks for Art Conservation) from University of Westminster, London, U.K., with a scholarship of the State Scholarship Foundation. After her studies, she trained on the manuscript conservation in the Old Archive of Greek Orthodox Community in Venice, Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies, Italy, as a scholarship of European Program COMMET.
She is Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, University of West Attica since January 2019. She has taught a variety of courses at both undergraduate (University of West Attica, TEI-A, University of Peloponnese, University of Ioannina, Ecclesiastic Academy of Athens) and post-graduate levels (University of West Attica, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Hellenic Open University). She has participated in research projects in Greece and abroad, and she collaborates with Greek and foreign research centers as well as, with cultural institutions. She has published her work in peer-reviewed international journals and she has presented her research work at international conferences. Her research interests include innovative procedures on the documentation and conservation as well as image texture analysis of archive materials.
